Last year saw the wave of the craft beer movement coming to Xi'An. Along with the explosion of numerous bottles shops, the first true craft beer micro brewery and pub came on the scene at Near Wall Bar and Xian Brewery. Locals and foreigners alike began to realize the benefits and superior taste of truly fresh and alive craft beer. Amateurs even began experimenting with their own home brewed beer styles and recipes trying to quench their thirst for this new phenomenon.

The new Xian Brewery project named Xian Mai (meaning Immortal Malt!) is the fully formed realization of the modern craft brewery and gastropub concept. Just south of Da Yan Ta (Big Wild Goose Pagoda) in Qujiang, Xian Mai hosts 2 bars, a 100 seat restaurant, 40 seat lounge, and large outdoor beer garden. The 1000 liter on-site brewery will produce a number of authentic international beer styles as well as innovation and unique recipes from the mind of our Head Brewer, Jonathan Therrian. Using the highest quality of imported malts, hops, yeast and filtered water in the process. Trained in the English tradition of real ale brewing in North East England, Jonathan Therrian has come to join the project after working as a Brewer and Head Brewer in the U.S. Our food is also not to be missed.

The kitchen team has hand crafted each dish using only fresh, choice ingredients, bringing you a high quality offering of western style cuisine. Don't miss our pizza house, hand crafted burgers, and homemade fried chicken! Lastly Xian Mai will be a new venue for a host of international musical acts.
